Professor Philip Black –  Professor Philip Black is currently Extraordinary Professor in Economics at the University of Stellenbosch, Visiting Professor at Rhodes University and the University of the Western Cape, and Research Director of both the Corporation for Economic Research (CER) and the Africa Institute for Policy Analysis and Economic Integration (AIPA).  He was previously Research Director at the South Africa Foundation, and prior to that the Jagger Professor of Economics and Director of the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, Professor of Economics at the University of Stellenbosch, and Professor and Head of the Department of Economics and Economic History at Rhodes University. Professor Black was Managing Editor of the South African Journal of Economics for the past 10 years.
